Today, LCPS Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz joined the KFOX14 Morning News team to discuss the excitement of a new school year and some of the initiatives the district will focus on regarding the instructional framework and strategic planning. The LCPS Foundation has awarded more than $370,000 in competitive grants, with individual grants up to $5,000, to teachers, counselors and other school staff to help fund innovate classroom projects to enhance student learning literacy, math, science, technology, and the arts.
The LCPS Foundation awarded $27,000 during the 22-23 School Year and has allocated $30,000 for the 23-24 school year, supporting the outstanding LCPS educators in the quest for excellence in our classrooms. With the help of generous donors, the Foundation provided $100 vouchers to Alpha Teaching Tools for classroom supplies.
